Course Summary

The Voice Projection workshop takes participants on wonderful journey of voice that gives them the skills to really hit the back of the room and find their vocal range in a humourous and engaging session.

Students will learn how to develop their voice, find resonance, strength, clarity of diction, connection, range and much more. They will get plenty of opportunities to practise voice work and techniques through both scripted and unscripted exercises, as they receive close individual tuition from our coaches.

The workshop will help participants move forward confidently in their vocal communication and expression, giving them an array of tools and insights that will help free them up vocally. This course in a excellent choice for those keen to learn how to develop a strong voice, suitable for many occasions, both personal and professional.

What we cover

• Warm up games: Get your voice, body and imagination ready for action in our fun actor warm up games.

• Develop your own vocal warm up.

• Voice technique: Using breath support from the diaphragm

• Projection: How to hit the back of the room

• Finding your voice: Play with and understand the different elements of voice (accent, tone placement, pitch etc.)

• Healthy communication: using voice in different settings

• Shakespeare monologues: Stretch the voice with some classics.

• Acting and performance tips

• Find your style: Learn become more creative and free up your your voice through a series of fun acting exercises.

• Explore motivation and intent to help you feel more connected.

• Speaking mindset: Professional tips on how to prepare for big moments such as talks, speeches etc.

• Tips on how to look after the voice.

• Perform a short scene speech or presentation where you get the chance to explore your vocal range and practise what you’ve learnt.

• Develop confidence in front of an audience
