Course Summary
In our English Opportunities workshop, students begin by learning about the vast range of career opportunities available to English graduates and will explore a selection of these roles in-depth through practical exercises.
The day builds towards an exciting competition whereby students put their chosen English skills into practice as they work against the clock to deliver a real-life brief for a business or organisation.
In addition to creating a piece of work for their English portfolio, students will receive professional feedback as they develop their project to submit for the deadline, culminating in a grand finale sharing of the work created.
Some award winners may be selected to have their work used by the business/organisation, gaining a valuable industry ‘publication’ and a boost in confidence. All students will receive certificates upon completion of the workshop.
The day closes with students learning a little about how to communicate their academic and social achievements to future employers.
From writing a social media campaign to crafting a commercial, creating a brand poem to teaching their peers or developing website copy or composing a company report, this day has something for everyone.
