Course Summary

The Stage Combat Sizzler teaches students how to craft excellent fight scenes in an action packed, exciting and physical session.

Facilitated in a very fun and professional style, students will learn the 6 basic moves of combat, from punches to kicks, to hair pulls and throttles and how to safely choreograph them into a scene.

Students are also taught how to make their fight scenes convincing through developing acting skills and by the end of the course will create and perform their own stage combat scene in front of their peers.

Suitable for all levels from beginner to more experienced, you can select from full day or half day sessions.

What we cover

• Warm up games: Get your voice and body ready for action in our hugely fun actor warm up games.

• Partnered scene work: develop trust, focus and professionalism.

• How to work safely whilst creating effective fight moves.

• Learn 6 combat moves: Gain professional instruction on how to deliver the perfect punch (x2), kick (x2), choke, throttle, slap and fall!

• Acting Fundamentals: The key principles and skills of acting including understanding a characters motivation within your fight scene.

• Introduction to improvisation.

• Build and act in a short scene or mini story using a combat sequence that you develop in the workshop.

• Directing, team working, leadership and storytelling tips.
