Course Summary
The Mini Oscar Film Week is a film-making adventure with a cultural twist: following classes in public speaking, movie making, drama and team-working skills, students rehearse scenes from a script before heading head out into Oxford to shoot movies in a race against the clock film ‘treasure hunt’.
Hosted at the University of Oxford, the course is an enriching and engaging educational experience in which students develop their communication, creative and movie making abilities, whilst getting to know this prestigious city.
During the film hunt itself, students have to find specified locations across the historical city of Oxford and create fun cultural scenes that will form the building blocks of their final films. Editing then takes place on professional iMac computers before a grand finale screening.
This unique study tour course culminates in an art class, quiz and awards ceremony before a special formal dinner at the University of Oxford*. Students leave Oxford with their very own film to remember their experience and share with their families!
