Mini Oscar Film Week

Learn to present, shoot and edit a movie and seek out Oxford’s most historic landmarks in this race against the clock film treasure hunt!

Course Summary

The Mini Oscar Film Week is a film-making adventure with a cultural twist: following classes in public speaking, movie making, drama and team-working skills, students rehearse scenes from a script before heading head out into Oxford to shoot movies in a race against the clock filmtreasure hunt’.

Hosted at the University of Oxford, the course is an enriching and engaging educational experience in which students develop their communication, creative and movie making abilities, whilst getting to know this prestigious city.

During the film hunt itself, students have to find specified locations across the historical city of Oxford and create fun cultural scenes that will form the building blocks of their final films. Editing then takes place on professional iMac computers before a grand finale screening.

This unique study tour course culminates in an art class, quiz and awards ceremony before a special formal dinner at the University of Oxford*. Students leave Oxford with their very own film to remember their experience and share with their families!

Typically our clients arrange their own classrooms and food. We can offer guidance in these areas. However, this can be arranged by us for an additional fee.
