Course Summary
In our Acting With Empathy workshop, students learn empathy through acting as they create meaningful characters for screen. The process includes professional acting exercises, character journeys and discussion that helps students to see their role through their characters eyes, rather than a place of judgement and prejudice.
A great introduction to building brilliant screen characters and other acting fundamentals, the workshop is useful for building understanding in classrooms, communities and in the wider world. It is a great contributor to positive mental health as well as a masterclass in acting.
Students often report a shift in mindset and how they see themselves and others as a result of the workshop, viewing the world around them with more empathy and understanding.
In a time of extremes, divide and misinformation, we believe the workshop can challenge students to see the world and people who are different to them with more open minds.
You can select from full day or half day sessions to fit in with your time table.
