Film Festival Challenge

Act in a tailor made short film to be submitted to film festivals, written and directed by professional filmmakers.

Course Summary

Reserved for your most passionate actors and performers, the Film Festival Challenge gives students professional screen actor training and the experience of being part of a professionally shot short film.

With a professional script, crafted specifically for your group on the week, students will go from actor training into production in a matter of a few days. They’ll learn to work on a film set and hone industry skills as actors whilst gaining the opportunity to help out in a few of the film making roles.

Previous films have been shortlisted at film festivals, in some instances getting screened along side films starring Judie Dench! Students enjoyed walking the ‘red carpet’ at the premiere* and received certificates for their participation.

“I hired Inspiring Drama on several occasions to improve the performance of young actors - ranging from a National Lottery funded World War 2 drama with youth club members to a historical English Language series of videos for a major UK publisher.

It was a transformational experience for the young people across all projects, as they were guided by Tom to give the very best in their performances”

— Rob Cooke, BAFTA winning former BBC producer.
